Gallery Red presents Doorstop Portraits in Glebe, a solo photography exhibition featuring recent artworks by North Sullivan.

Focusing on the diverse characters of Glebe, esteemed photographer North Sullivan has explored his love of small cameras, creative post production and street portraiture. In stark contrast to his usual practice North has chosen to shoot and process all portraits on his iPhone 4.

Please join us for the opening of the exhibition Friday 11th November from 6-8pm for drinks and to meet North Sullivan.

Doorstop Portraits in Glebe runs until Tuesday 29th November.

Gallery Hours for this exhibition are Monday – Friday 10am – 5pm, Saturday 10am – 3pm and Glebe Street Fair Sunday 20th November 10am-3pm.

North Sullivan

North has been a professional photographer for over thirty years with his portfolio including artwork, advertising, and studio photographs. He has been involved in some iconic advertising campaigns; including the first Qantas Children's Choir photographs, the AMP Olympic Torch relay, and launching the new GMC Envoy.
North has a passion for photographing people, from the well known, to the average person on the street; in local to international locations. North has had several exhibitions centered on people in local suburbs in and around Sydney. North was close to Ground Zero in 2001, and in focusing on the people of the city created a collection of photographs entitled 'September Mourning' telling the story of New York on September 11 and in the days that followed.
North has also been a finalist in several national portrait prizes at the National Portrait Gallery and AGNSW and was the inaugural Director of The Australian Photographers’ Gallery.
